Airbus has chosen the peelable tape Relink 2318 B exclusively for the taped carpet applications. Its advantages are striking: the proprietary double-sided adhesive tape has differentiated adhesion characteristics. The panel side comes off without leaving any residues on the panel. Thus, the surface no longer needs to be cleaned after carpet removal. It is a mere 0.21 mm thin and weighs only 210 g/m2. It has a long shelf life and is remarkably ageing-resistant.
